Public Involvement

To help the MBTA identify service-related capital investment needs and priorities, public meetings were held in various service corridors early in the planning process. At these meetings, customers were asked to describe the mobility issues they face when using the MBTA. Based on the mobility gaps and challenges raised at the workshops, the MBTA developed a mobility “problem statement” for each corridor and identified project proposals—including system preservation, enhancement, and expansion projects—to address the mobility needs of the region. These are documented in the draft PMT.

The MBTA has scheduled three public meetings and one hearing to solicit input on the draft PMT. Please plan to attend one of these meetings to give us feedback on this important plan. You can also submit your comments on line.
