2004 Regional Transportation Plan Amendment This amendment revised construction time frames and costs for several projects that were included in the 2006-2010 Transportation Improvement Program. In addition, highway revenues were updated based on fiscal years 2004-2010 federal regional funding targets estimated by the Executive Office of Transportation. Changes to the Plan are to Table 5-3 (Regionally Significant Highway Projects in the Recommended Plan) and to the Air Quality Conformity Re-Determination. Posted 8/05 Download in PDF. |
The Boston MPO has
completed work on its 200425 Regional Transportation Plan (2004 Plan),
as called for by the federally mandated transportation planning process. The
MPO conducted extensive planning and public outreach for the 200025
Transportation Plan Update, which was submitted to the federal government
in March 2002. The original 200025 Plan had been submitted in January
2001. The 2004 Plan builds on the work that was performed for these two other
documents.
The MPO maintained the policies of the 200025 Plan. It reviewed the
Universe of Highway Projects in order to assess each project using the policies
and to determine the projects included in the 2004 Plan. For transit projects,
the MPO reviewed the Universe of Transit Projects developed as part of the
MBTAs Program for Mass Transportation.
