Please vote in support of the ferry boat overhaul funding. The Southeast Expressway cannot absorb any extra cars. Parking and taking the ferry is the best solution. Thank you.

Re: Amendment Five

Support for the MBTA ferries from Hull is critical for the working people of Hull, it is the quickest best run commuting option and a worthy investment. Continued investment in this critical service is also essential to management of highway congestion. The commuter rail is not always an option bc lots get full and there are no parking options.

As a Hull resident, the mbta ferry service is crucial to our way of life. It is the fastest and most efficient way to go to work, schools, doctors, and cultural events in Boston. It helps to significantly cut down on vehicular traffic which the expressway cannot handle as well as parking in town. We encourage the pursuit of Amendment 5. Thank you.

Please continue to support and improve the commuter Ferry service to and from Boston.  This service is well used, in particular by members of the south shore communities of Hull and Hingham.  This service is one piece in reducing the traffic into and out of the city and offers commuters a reliable and quite lovely option for commuting in and out of the city.  Please continue to also look into expanded service.  Expanded services are certainly warranted to and from the Hull, MA area for typical commuting hours, but expanded weekend service should also be considered.

Commuter ferry. The people in Hull depend on this ferry for work and recreation. The current schedule is impossible it’s very limited which I understand but if it disappears not only will it put a lot More people on the road or parking in the Hingham commuter lot but it’s a huge inconvenience for people who live in Hull who are inconvenienced most of the time

As a member of the state's Metropolitan Beach Commission, representing the Town of Hull, I would like to support Amendment 5 to the TIP: the mid-life overhaul of Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) ferry vessels.

The MBTA ferry vessels are a vital asset to the Boston metropolitan region - for economic development, for tourism, and, most importantly, for the day-to-day lives of commuting residents.  It is crucial that the vessels remain in good shape in order to maintain good service and active ridership.

Thank you for considering,
Jason

Please approve Amendment 5 and do all possible to improve and maintain ferry service across the harbor to local areas in and out of Boston.  Living in Hull the ferry is critical to the community and is the most efficient, reliable, convenient mode of transportation to both Boston and Logan airport.

Service should be extended to include more times/boats not only weekday but also particularly for weekend service into Boston.  I recognize that during this time of Covid it may seem practical to shift investment elsewhere, but I would caution against that given the remoteness of this community and its dependence on ferry for commuter service for many essential workers.

I write in strong support of the addition of the new project to FFY 2020 for the mid-life overhaul of MBTA ferry vessels. The ferry service is essential to south shore residents and long term health of the vessels is important for continued service.

Thank you

Hull needs more funding for commuter boat series to Boston. Current service only allows a few scheduled stops at peak commuting hours. We need more stops through out the day and more boats directly from Hull to and from Boston. Shared services with Hingham leaves no room for Hull commuters. Needs additional parking structure to support more commuters. Weekend service too through out the year would increase revenue for town as well as Boston. The commuter boat is the only service that allows safe quick access to Boston and back.
