Bicycle-Pedestrian Count Program - Parting Thoughts

Home » Our Work » Livability

Each counter should bring:

  • At least one count sheet for each screen line
  • Two writing implements
  • A watch or cell phone for keeping time
  • A clipboard or other writing surface
  • Recommended: water bottle, sun block, bug repellent, folding chair, etc.

Click here to download the count sheet. If you can’t print count sheets, please let us know or stop by the CTPS office, and we will provide you with the count sheets you need.

All data are useful, so counts still may be taken if the weather is inclement. If the weather changes for the worse, however, please feel free to quit the count.

After the count, please send your data to CTPS via email (bikepedcoordinators@ctps.org) or US mail:
Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator
Central Transportation Planning Staff
Ten Park Plaza, Suite 2150
Boston, MA 02116-3968

We appreciate your help with these efforts. Thank you again for all your hard work!

Volunteer count instructions were derived from methodology developed by the Bike Walk Twin Cities program of Minnesota's Transit for Livable Communities.
