The MPO approved a draft amendment to the federal fiscal years (FFYs) 2012–15 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for public review and comment. The amendment would make changes to the highway and transit elements. The 30-day public comment period for the proposed amendment will end on Tuesday, February 21. The MPO will hold an Open House on January 25 in Boston. The meeting will feature presentations on the development of the FFYs 2013–16 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the FFY 2013 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP).
MassDOT has released proposed fare increase and service reduction plans for the MBTA. Information on the proposed plans and a list of upcoming public meetings to discuss the changes are available here.
